Classic scam alert! Got a call on my phone saying some tax issue with HMRC and to press 1 to speak to someone. Didn’t hang about, ended the call straight away. Have blocked the number since then!

Got a robo call from someone claiming to be HMRC saying there was tax fraud on my name. I didn’t want to waste time so I just hung up and blocked the number straight away. HMRC doesn’t reach out like that so watch out!

This number called me and told me to press 1 to get through to HMRC. The message went on about being linked to an HMRC officer and warned that if I didn’t press 1, a warrant would be issued in my name right away and I’d be arrested soon. Definitely a scam, don’t fall for it!
