Somebody rang me pretending to be from HMRC, saying I was going to be arrested for tax evasion. They said I could avoid being arrested if I paid them straight away over the phone. Honestly, this scam is rubbish - HMRC would never contact anyone like that.

Got a call earlier today from someone claiming to be HMRC saying I had a warrant out for tax fraud or whatever. I just told them to shove it and hung up straight away. There’s no way HMRC would do things like that! I’ve blocked the number now.

I just got a voicemail with a British accent claiming to be from HMRC. It said I’m supposedly being looked into for tax fraud and told me to press 1 to speak to the right team. Looks like a scam to me.

I got a call from someone saying I’d be arrested by HMRC if I didn’t hit 1 on the phone. Seemed a bit dodgy to me!
