Got a call from a bloke with an American accent saying there’s been a £600 payment on my “Mastercard account” going overseas, but he didn’t give any card details. Then this American lady’s voice kicked in, sounded like a recorded message, saying I’d be sent through to a call centre. Heard lots of strange foreign chatter in the background. I hung up and double-checked my credit card online - no sign of any payment like that, naturally!
