Had a couple of missed calls from this number, so I decided to ring back. A robotic American lady answered saying they were swamped, so I ended the call. Then, weirdly, I got another call from the same number. This time it was someone pretending to be from HMRC, telling me there was a warrant for my arrest because of fraud! I just cut the call straight away and blocked the number. FYI, HMRC never phones you like that!

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, threatening me with arrest over some tax issue. They said if I paid straight away over the phone, they’d cancel the arrest warrant. Honestly, seemed so obvious it was a scam - HMRC would never ring up and talk like that. Totally ridiculous.

Got a message supposedly from HMRC accusing me of fraud and telling me to press 1. I've done nothing wrong, and it’s clear these muppets are just trying to scam me, so I just ignored the call.

Got a message claiming to be HMRC but they were using American terms, saying some bounty hunter would be sent to arrest me if I didn’t reply within an hour. I’m retired and don’t even pay tax anymore, so I knew straight away it was a scam.
