I chose not to pick up, fully aware it was likely one of those unsolicited requests about reclaiming my PPI (which I’ve never had, mind you), or perhaps a dubious offer related to some imaginary accident I’ve not experienced in the past couple of years. Maybe they wanted to inform me that a distant relative had conveniently kicked the bucket somewhere utterly remote, leaving me a lavish inheritance consisting of an island, a few million quid, and a hefty stash of diamonds-all for the mere price of my banking details! It’s about time these pesky intrusions were curbed.
