3 yearsI just received a phone call on the 29th of November 2023 from a woman who had what seemed to be an Indian accent-her speech wasn’t the clearest. She claimed to be calling from BT, saying it was regarding my internet service. She insisted on sending me a verification code before we could carry on with the conversation. I asked her for my name, my address, and my BT account number (which, by the way, I don’t possess). Each time, she repeated that she needed to send a verification code to discuss things further, which would then allow her to answer my questions. That raised alarm bells for me, so I decided to end the call.
