The call came from a number with my town’s code, so I picked up. A stranger speaking with a foreign accent asked for me by my name, then just cut the call.

They keep calling over and over but don’t say anything when you finally get to the phone, really frustrating. I tried calling them back and a message told me it was from the First Call Group. These sorts of calls need to be shut down.

This number rang me twice; I missed the initial ring and when I tried calling back, it just wouldn’t connect. Today, a woman with a foreign accent called, claiming to be from something like Road Traffic Control. She went on about whether I’d been in an accident, either driving or as a passenger. I told her I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Later, I spotted an earlier missed call from this same number last week on my phone. Seems a bit like those ambulance-chasing scams to me. Just thought I’d give everyone a heads-up about this one.
