Got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon - this isn’t the first time I’ve had one of these. I just waited quietly, didn’t press any buttons like they sometimes ask. Then some guy said his name was Mark Williams from Amazon and asked how he could help, but I didn’t say anything back. After that, they just hung up. Bit worried I might get a premium rate charge even though I didn’t touch any keys or anything.

Got a call about my Amazon Prime supposedly renewing automatically for £39.99. Thing is, I don’t even have an account with them, so I just ended the call right away. Definitely sounded like a scam.

On 25.09.2020 at 0821 hrs, a call came through to a 91-year-old lady who has dementia. The conversation left her feeling really confused and quite unsettled.
