Someone rang me from 01543471052, a Cannock number. The person sounded quite polite and clear. I didn't quite get the name of the company they mentioned. They wanted to know what kind of home alarm system I use. At first, I wasn't sure if they were genuine or maybe linked to something dodgy. Since I had no idea who I was really speaking to, I just ended the call nicely!

This number has rung me twice this week trying to sell some kind of home security monitoring. Each time I told them we already have an alarm system and a guard dog. I’ve blocked the number now.

Someone called me saying they wanted me to do a crime survey. I picked up the phone and the line just went silent. I ended the call straight away and rang them back from the number shown on BT caller ID. They actually knew my name and were trying to get me to join some crime survey. I received a call from a woman promoting a home security system at an unbelievable price! A few years back, I had a similar encounter at my job - turned that offer down, and soon after, we had a break-in.
