I got a call from someone named Adam Smith earlier, and then another from a bloke called Alex Robinson - both sounded like they were Asian. They said there’s a cheque for £3600.00 ready for me, but first I need to buy a Paysafe card worth £200.00. They even told me the exact shop nearby where I could grab the card. They pretended to be from a company based in Manchester. Pretty sure it’s just a couple of con artists trying it on.

Just like everyone else, I doubt he’s gonna call back. I’ve got a referee’s whistle sitting next to the phone ready to go whenever these muppets ring. One good blow and they’ll probably think twice before trying again!

The connection was awful and the person on the other end claimed that the government was refunding money from previous years. They tried to verify my date of birth, even though they already knew my address and postcode, but they'd gotten the name wrong. They said if I confirmed my DOB, I'd get a cheque soon for all my back taxes. When I mentioned the call was being recorded and asked if they knew about the ICO, they instantly hung up. Honestly, I find this call quite dodgy and really wish the officials would crack down on these scams more.

Got a call around 9:45 from a bloke with an Asian accent, said his name was Adam. The connection was awful, seemed like it was from abroad, so I couldn't catch most of what he was saying until he brought up something about bank fees. I told him straight up he was trying to scam me and he hung up right away. It's crazy this kind of nonsense is still happening. Where the hell do these scammers get our info from? Do local authorities sell our details or something? I’m on the TPS list but it’s about as useful as a chocolate teapot. WHY ON EARTH CAN’T THEY PUT AN END TO THIS!!!!!!!

Got a call asking loads of personal stuff, so I just ended it there and then. With over 20 folks reporting the same thing here, I really reckon this needs a proper look by the authorities. It’s gotta be against the law, this is clearly a scam. Some vulnerable people might end up caught out by it, which could really mess up their lives. It’s straight up harassment and could even be risky. Honestly, I’d push hard for making something like this illegal.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent, sounded like a VOIP number, saying I was owed money back from some dodgy bank fees. They only seemed to have my name and address though, asking me to give more info for "security reasons." Seriously, why don’t landlines have the same blocking features as mobiles? The number seems to be from Cannock in Staffordshire. I really hope these people get caught and face consequences because phone numbers can be tracked.

Got a ring from this number at about 8:15 in the morning, claiming I was owed a cheque and asking me to verify my postcode. I didn’t go along with it. The person told me to write down their name - sounded Asian, but said his name was Robert Williams. I just cut the call off without giving out any details. Seriously, don’t give out any info to callers like this. This is the third time I’ve had a call from a number like this.

Neither of em had a British accent, and those surnames are so common it’s like they ain't even trying. The bloke said his name was Alex Hale and claimed to be from some Government thing called Claims Advice Group. He told me I’d get back every penny I’d ever lost on bank fees. I told him I’ve never paid any charges, but he kept going anyway. It took four calls before I asked if they even knew about the TPS, then finally they backed off. I’m definitely reporting this lot to the TPS as a scam.
