When I informed him that I wasn't able to take the call, he turned downright nasty, hurling insults like "F off" and "Suck my c*ck," and even issued a death threat. To be honest, I was shocked by his reaction; I thought after a couple of tirades he'd have gotten bored and hung up. But no, he just kept at it, ranting incessantly. I reckon I could still be on that call if I hadn’t had the sense to hang up myself. I haven't a clue who he was or what he wanted, as he never got round to explaining anything before launching into his tirade.9 yearsI received a rather peculiar phone call claiming that I had funds due to me from some elusive banking fees. They had my full name and address, which made me quite wary. When they asked for my date of birth, I decided to throw them off by providing a bogus one. The caller mentioned that I should anticipate another call to sort out a cheque. However, on the follow-up call, they wanted to know which bank I used, and I passed them the name of a different institution. They mentioned they’d be reaching out again to set up a meeting where I’d need to show a form of identification like my passport.
