Then they went on about Aviva insurance, but when I said I was at work and couldn’t chat, they just ended the call on me. If they were actually a legit customer service agent, that was really bad manners. I rang back today, and the bloke said he was from my life insurance company, chatting about life expectancy and wanting me to update my details. He claimed he worked for Axa, which apparently links to loads of insurers. I do have home insurance with Axa, but that’s it. When I questioned him, he cheekily asked who my provider was, then tried to twist that info back towards Axa. Told him I wouldn’t be giving my bank info to some random calling as Barclays. Told him to just send me a letter, and I’d get back to them once I saw it. Then he suddenly cut me off.
