10 yearsSo irritating, honestly can't stand it.10 yearsI keep getting calls from some claims outfit out of the blue. Never asked for anything, just ringing me up repeatedly. Don’t appreciate the hassle at all.10 yearsI got a call from some centre where you could hear people chatting in the background. They claimed it was about road accident claims and said I'd been in an accident in the past three years. Totally caught me off guard - I don’t even drive! Lately, I’m getting loads of these calls, and it’s baffling.10 yearsI must say, this is clearly a dodgy and deceptive call. The number intriguingly mimics the SDT code for my locality, yet originates from who knows where-possibly overseas. On the rare occasions when I’ve managed to engage with the caller, they put on an English accent but vehemently deny their true identity, using a number that seems to belong to the realm of fiction. I’ve reached out to Ofcom numerous times via email, but it appears they’ve turned a blind eye, as the scam persists without any sign of intervention. I even offered to let them check my mobile and landline to investigate, but they don't seem to be bothered. At this point, my responses to these callers have become quite colourful, yet they continue to ring me. And let’s not even get started on the number 888888-no one seems to bat an eyelid. Cheers to that!Ofcom11 yearsWhat a right nuisance this is!11 yearsThis number buzzed my mobile four times while I was at my job. Since it shares my area code, I freaked out, assuming it might be something crucial. Thankfully, I did a quick search here first and discovered it's just a scam or a sales call. What a relief!11 yearsI picked up and not a word, just dead silence. So frustrating!11 yearsReceived a call, but the moment I picked up, they hung up. Quite odd, really!Submit Your Own Report (01542 651947)
