Today, I got a call from a lady who said she was ringing from my bank, HSBC, about a payment supposedly made from my account just an hour earlier. She told me someone had taken around £600, and the money was withdrawn from a foreign bank! She mentioned it was suspicious since they knew I was still in the UK due to travel restrictions. It all seemed quite believable at first, but I quickly checked my bank account on my phone and saw no unusual transactions. That’s when I realised it was definitely a scam.
