Got a call today from a bloke claiming he was with TalkTalk’s tech team saying there’s some sort of security problem with my broadband. The phone number 01542343460 is definitely a real UK local exchange. It’s from Keith up in Scotland and since their numbers have 6 digits it all came off sounding pretty legit.

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was calling on behalf of Talk Talk. You could tell it was a call centre because of all the background noises. She told me there was some kind of security problem with our internet and that she needed to get into our computer to fix it.
