Warning! Got this call from someone claiming to be TalkTalk, but it was definitely a scam. They wanted me to install some kind of software that'd give them control over my computer. They actually knew loads about me, like my address and account info, probably because TalkTalk had that data breach a while back. So glad I didn’t fall for it!

total scam. this guy with an american accent called saying he was from bt and there was some issue with my internet connection. as soon as i mentioned bt, he just cut the call. pretty fishy if you ask me.

Some bloke rang up claiming to be from TalkTalk security. He knew my name but wouldn’t send me any email to prove who he was. Said there was an issue with my router and it’d been hacked or summink. He said he couldn’t fix it from his side and wanted me to do some stuff on my end. I wasn’t convinced it was a real hack, so I just ended the call.

I picked up the phone when it rang but there was nothing on the other end, just silence for about 15 seconds. Then the call just hung up.

some bloke rang me and used my name, claiming to be from the talktalk security team or summat like that.

I was waiting for a call and figured this could be it, so I answered. After a bit of silence for about 10 seconds, a woman said “goodbye” and then hung up.

a bloke rang claiming he was from my internet company. i asked which one he was with and he said talk talk. since talk talk aint my provider, i just ended the call.
