Received a call at 14:40 today (17th December 22). It had the ring of a pre-recorded message. It claimed to be from PayPal, mentioning a payment of £100. They offered me the choice to dispute the charge or hang up to authorise it. Since I don’t use PayPal, I sensed it was a blatant scam designed to frighten one into making contact. I chose to end the call instead.
