Received a call purporting to be from a so-called "Bank Security Department" - but here’s the kicker, it’s not even my bank! They drivel on about two fraudulent transactions: one for £300 at Amazon and another for £1,100 to an overseas account. An obvious attempt at scamming. They claimed some generic security protocol had triggered the alert and offered to assist me in completing a form to halt the payments, yet when I pressed them, they couldn’t specify which card these ghostly charges were supposedly linked to. Definitely dodgy!
