I got a call from 015394 48636 and it was just the same as those 01534 numbers I've had before. It rings once or twice and then just ends. Feels dodgy to me, especially since it’s happened on my landline as well and it always goes dead when I don’t say anything. Seems like some sort of scam to me.

I've been getting calls from Alertacall, apparently because someone close to me gave them my number so they could reach me if there's an emergency or if they're not answering. From what I can tell, they're a legit company that helps keep tabs on people you care about, definitely not some dodgy scam.

I got a text from this number saying I had a missed call, but when I checked my phone, there was absolutely no record of any missed calls at all, from anyone. Bit odd, if you ask me. Some folks say this number is linked to the 'Ok Today' service for retirement or independent living schemes, but I actually live in an over 55's independent living complex and have all their contact numbers saved on my phone. This one isn’t in my list though. So for now, I'm just going to leave it at neutral until I find out something different.

Got a call from these car finance people claiming I’d supposedly got a PCP agreement. Reckon it’s a scam, no way giving them any info. Just block and move on!

This bloke kept calling, saying he could sort out a refund on my car finance overpayment. He was really pushy, kept phoning non stop and wouldn’t take no for an answer. I’d say everyone should just block this number - it’s clearly dodgy. He even had my old address and email plus my name, asked me to confirm my dob which I did before I twigged it was a con. They sent me texts and emails asking me to complete some form and sign it. Definitely don’t trust these people, let others know!

This wasn’t one of those dodgy calls, it was actually from the ‘ok each day’ service which helps older or vulnerable folks. I just got a ring from a really nice woman because my mum, who’s quite elderly, forgot to log in on her system that morning.

I got a call to a vulnerable person who mentioned the caller was quite polite and seemed to know a lot about the house. But they didn’t share any more details, which felt really fishy to me. I was proper puzzled. Got a message from Alertacall on my home phone telling me to press the 'okay' button, which I totally forgot about. The phone had been left off the hook, so I missed their call. Then this number rang me twice on my mobile from Hawkshead, but I just blocked the calls. I came here and saw loads of comments about scams and Alertacall. When I checked my landline's answer machine, there was their message waiting, just as my son phoned up saying they'd called him too. Pretty handy system, really.

When I searched online, I found their full address, but not this exact phone number. I recently joined their service and, as far as I can tell, it’s a legit company. In fact, I rang them back on this number after missing their call. They mentioned there’s been some issues with Sky, so they’re sending me a replacement phone. I’m not sure why some folks are labelling it as spam though?
