I received a rather suspicious phone call regarding a car crash I was involved in. The caller seemed to be fishing for details that, frankly, he should have already known. When I challenged him on why he didn’t possess the information he was after, he abruptly terminated the call. Quite odd, indeed!

Received a call from someone claiming to be with the Esure recovery team, insisting I’d been involved in a no-fault accident back in March. The thing is, I was in an accident, but I was the one who caused it. I mentioned that I was recording the call for my own safety and asked him to prove he was indeed from Esure. Suddenly, he just ended the call. Quite dodgy, if you ask me.

He claimed to be representative of ESure, the insurer I’m currently with, and was keen to discuss an accident from June, which I was not responsible for. However, when I clarified that there hadn't been any accident and that I had only filed a claim regarding a broken wing mirror from several months ago, he promptly cut the call. Quite odd, really!

A chap with a foreign accent claimed to be from Reliable Repairs, informing me that my television repair policy was being slashed from £14.99 to a mere £7.99 a month. The strange thing was, he had no clue who I was and grew rather flustered when I asked for their company address. He mentioned they were based in London, which did little to reassure me. I told him it sounded highly suspicious and demanded he take my number off their list. He abruptly hung up on me. The truth is, I don’t have any such coverage, so it was clearly a fishing expedition, likely hoping to snag my bank info. Yet another bothersome call—these individuals ought to get themselves a decent job instead of resorting to such underhanded tactics.
