I got a call the other day that turned out to be dodgy. They asked loads of stuff like what kind of TV and washing machine I had, plus who I use for broadband and my mobile phone. Then they suddenly started asking about having a will and life insurance. I got suspicious because the questions kept coming and it felt like they were just trying to sell me insurance in the end. Definitely a scam/spam call.

I have a feeling this is some sort of con. They said they were from SKY insurance, warning me that my equipment cover was nearing its end. I informed them that I'm not a Sky customer and don't possess any of their gear. They promptly said sorry and hung up. Quite dodgy!

Got a call on my landline from a man speaking with an Indian accent. He said he was from "Sky Assurance" about my TV breakdown cover, but I don’t have any breakdown cover for my TV nor do I subscribe to Sky at all. Felt a bit fishy to me.

I got a call saying I’d have to pay £89 for TV insurance if I didn’t renew it. The bloke said he was from Dagenham, then when I asked how far Romford is from Dagenham, he reckoned it’s 53 miles, which sounded dodgy. I asked him to confirm my address but he claimed he couldn’t for security reasons. At one point he mentioned something about Sky TV. I didn’t share a single detail with him, but I did have a bit of fun winding him up for a good 20 minutes.
