Got a call on my mobile from someone who sounded like they were from overseas. I couldn’t really make out what they were saying and thought it was probably spam, so I just ended the call. Tried ringing them back but there’s never any answer or message left.

My phone got a call from 01538 765308 recently, which was unusual since I never get unsolicited calls, until last week that is. The person said they were calling from Currys, but had a really strong Indian accent and were pushing some cheap mobile phone offers. When I told them I wasn’t interested, they just made a ‘hmmm’ noise and ended the call. Not sure how my number ended up on these marketing or possibly scam lists all of a sudden.

My phone rang and I picked up almost instantly with a quick "hello". I waited around five seconds but then they just ended the call. Seems like some dodgy scam, possibly one of those premium numbers trying to rip you off by charging loads for their voicemail.

this number seems really dodgy! it showed up as Stoke-on-Trent but i didnt pick up. tried ringing it back but no luck, the phone didnt even ring so it seems like calls from this number are blocked. pretty sure its a scam cause if it was EE they would ring me back or at least leave a voicemail, and neither came through.
