I received a phone call from someone claiming there were issues regarding my "outstanding taxes." They even had the nerve to mention my full name, which was quite alarming. The whole thing felt dodgy, and the individual definitely didn't seem like someone I could rely on.

some bloke rang me claiming to be tom from some group with "tax" in their name. he asked if I knew them and I told him no. weirdly, he already knew my first name and where I work. he sounded quite young and had a bit of a giggle in his voice which made me suspicious. I told him to just get to the point or else hang up, and after a quick sorry, he ended the call. I’ve looked around and can’t see any proof this was a genuine company.
