Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent first... wasn’t interested at all and then she passed me onto a guy named Jack who said he was ringing from Microsoft in Reading. The numbers he used were actually from Kettering and Hemel Hempstead though. Just a heads up, these scammers really know how to sound legit. As soon as he found out I use an Apple phone, he just ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were Peter Yang from Microsoft. This woman was proper rude and started telling me my computer was all compromised. She got really nasty, threatening that if I didn’t follow their orders, my whole system would crash and I'd lose all my stuff. Honestly, it was a really unpleasant experience.

A woman rang me, claiming to be from 'security' linked to Virgin. However, she abruptly changed her tune, stating it was actually BT Connect when I mentioned I wasn't a Virgin customer. She insisted there was a security threat concerning my broadband and urged me to access 'pmaystore' on my mobile for some sort of security fix. It all felt quite dubious, and I told her I wasn't keen on proceeding with that. In the end, she just hung up.
