I'm experiencing the same problem, just a slew of scams ringing my landline (and occasionally my mobile, but at least I get some pleasant conversations there). More often than not, it’s nothing but silence. When they do muster the courage to speak, I certainly give them a piece of my mind, ha! I love turning the tables and firing inquiries back at them while being a touch cheeky. There's really no point in blocking them, as they rarely ring from the same number twice. They’ve got some sort of system for churning out these digits, which makes me wonder why that's even permitted. It's quite distressing to think of elderly folks-especially women like myself-who may be anxious about these calls.
