Received a call purporting to be from O2, claiming I was eligible for a whopping 40% discount on my upcoming bill because of a mass exodus of customers unhappy with steep charges. The bloke on the other end mentioned that I’d be getting a text with a code I needed to share with him. Strangely enough, moments later, a message popped up labelling it as spam! I told him I hadn't seen the text and that I was preoccupied. Ended up blocking the number. Not taking any chances!
