This number has rung me on numerous occasions, but whenever I attempt to return the call, I get a message saying that the number isn’t in service. Quite baffling, really!

I received a rather curious phone call today from a lady named Tanya, whose number popped up on my mobile. She informed me that I had supposedly been involved in a minor car accident and was keen to hear about my satisfaction with the repairs. Strangely, I’ve not been in any such incident! Initially, I didn’t mention this to her, but after asking for more information, she proceeded to provide me with the registration number of a vehicle, the full name and address of the driver in question, as well as a reference number and the name of the company along with their contact number. I verified the address she provided-it certainly exists, and the vehicle registration matched up when I did a quick search online. Upon contacting the business she mentioned, and perusing their website, it became clear that they don’t engage in sharing such information and it wouldn't be beneficial for them to do so. Eventually, I clarified to Tanya that not only had I not been in an accident, but that the details she had given me didn’t pertain to me at all. It raises quite a few eyebrows, to be honest; I can’t quite fathom how my ex-directory phone number, which is registered with the Telephone Preference Service, could be linked to such erroneous information. Quite baffling, indeed-this call came from an 'insurance review company' located in Kettering.

I received a call from someone claiming I was involved in a minor car crash, which I found quite baffling since I've never had any incidents on the road. When I inquired about their identity, they introduced themselves as Albany Assured. I informed them that I wasn't familiar with their company, and promptly hung up. Curiosity got the better of me, so I rang the number back only to be greeted by a recorded message indicating it was a marketing call. As I'm signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, I'm left wondering how they obtained my number in the first place. The caller, once again, was supposedly from Albany Assured. Quite a perplexing situation!
