Got loads of calls from a call centre saying they’re Virgin Media. They claim my internet’s really slow and say they can fix it for free. They insist you use your own laptop, not a work one. They get you to go onto some speed test site and run download and upload checks, then tell you your speeds are way below what you’re paying for. Next thing, they send you to a site that looks exactly like Virgin Media’s, but it lets them control your laptop remotely. The numbers mostly start with 01953, and I’ve had nearly 20 calls in just one day! Proper annoying.
