Got a call from 01536210195 earlier claiming to be BT Openreach, saying there was an issue with my internet - which there wasn’t! When I called him out on it, he said something about being there to “survive” me and then got really rude, warning me I was in serious trouble! I just chuckled and ended the call. Blocked the number through 1572 after that. I’m guessing they’ll keep trying though, especially with Christmas coming up, as calls like this are definitely on the rise.

This woman called saying my internet was acting up and I should check the speed of my router. I told her everything was working fine on my end. She kept insisting I had to check it anyway. I told her I wasn’t going to do anything and then she just hung up on me. Definitely one of those scam calls.

I received a rather unpleasant call from someone named Edward, who claimed to be with BT, insisting that there was an issue with my computer. When I informed him that I don’t own a computer, he proceeded to hurl some foul language at me before abruptly ending the call. What a shocking way to kick off my morning! No doubt this was a call from an Indian scam centre. The bloke couldn’t even talk properly in English, just kept jabbering nonsense. I fired back at him in Hindi, then he lost his temper and hung up on me.

Received a call from someone claiming to be from BT, insisting there was an issue with my internet connection. I informed him that we don’t actually have any Internet service at this location and requested that he refrain from calling again. Yet, he has persisted, ringing back multiple times, not to mention the rather intrusive inquiry about whether I was awake. Got a call from a bloke with a strong Indian accent claiming he was calling from BT in London, but the number didn’t match any London codes. Got a call from some scammers pretending to be Sky Tech Support. They said my modem was throwing up error messages whenever I try to go online, which ain’t true at all. They started off by instructing me to download a couple of apps, one of which was Anydesk. I granted them permission for the first app, but it became evident they could monitor my phone screen without making that clear. When they prompted me to allow access, I hesitated and insisted on reviewing the details first, which seemed to irritate the chap on the other end. I eventually decided to ring Sky later to discuss this further and promptly ended the call. He was quick to ring me back, but I chose not to pick up. I just had a rather dodgy phone call from someone claiming to represent Openreach. This person insisted that there were issues with both my computer and my landline, suggesting they had been hacked. He kept pushing me to install this programme called AnyDesk Remote Desktop. However, he didn't provide any proper proof of who he was, which raised all sorts of red flags. I just received a peculiar call from this number, a chap with a foreign accent claiming to be from BT. I inquired about a contact number to call back, and he offered his name along with some sort of employee identification. He called himself Brian Wilson, and I couldn't resist asking if he was related to the Beach Boys-he chuckled and denied it (how amusing!). After providing a rather dubious employee ID, he started suggesting he needed to access my router. I politely told him I was rather busy and requested he get straight to the crux of the matter. At that point, he abruptly hung up on me. Quite the strange encounter!
