11 yearsI received an unexpected call from a gentleman whose accent was distinctly Asian, claiming to be from a tech support service. He went on to introduce himself with a rather typical English name, and said he was ringing about issues related to my computer. I made it clear that I wasn't keen on what he was offering, yet I decided to keep the conversation going until he chose to end the call himself. Quite impolite, if you ask me!11 yearsGot a call from this number earlier today, but as soon as they heard me speak, they just dropped the call. I basically told them to get lost!11 yearsI had a rather peculiar encounter the other day. A chap, presumably of Indian or Pakistani descent, attempted to engage the owner of the main computer, claiming that he was on the TPS list and thus violating some sort of law. The interaction didn’t last long before he swiftly departed.TPS11 yearsIt was obviously a dodgy call, so I thought I’d have a bit of sport and keep them on the line for a while. They claimed I had a significant issue with my Windows PC, but I responded that I owned several. The chap was stumped and couldn’t specify which one it was. Quite entertaining, really!11 yearsI got one of those classic calls about my computer, I think they mostly have an Asian accent. Probably just a scam like the others.11 yearsReceived a ring from this number around half three this afternoon. The caller had a really thick foreign accent, and the only thing that came through clearly was the word "computer." I told him he wasn’t fooling anyone with me and to go pester someone else who might fall for it. Then I promptly ended the call. Cheers, SeanSean11 yearsReceived a call from this number roughly an hour back. It was clearly some sort of overseas scam; the bloke claimed to be from the Windows support team, insisting I switch on my computer! When I asked him for his name, he had the audacity to say he was Sam Watson (hardly believable!). I made it clear that I wasn't falling for it and decided to terminate the call there and then.Sam Watson11 yearsSome guy with an Indian accent called me, I had no clue who he was, where exactly he was calling from, or what he needed. It had something to do with my computer, though, but it was all really confusing.11 yearsGot a call from some guy from India asking for the person who owns the computer. I told him we’re with the TPS and he was actually breaking the law by calling. He quickly said sorry and promised to remove my number from their list, then just ended the call.Telephone Preference Service11 yearsSomeone rang me but I couldn’t pick up. Later I tried to return the call, but the number didn’t come up or was unrecognised. Strange!11 yearsReceived a rather dodgy call roughly an hour ago. The chap claimed to be from a tech support line. I played along for a bit, but when he inquired about what I could access from the command line, I told him my computer was off.
