I got a call from this number once again, I knew it straight away. I usually don’t pick up my landline for unknown callers and there wasn’t any voicemail either. I’m planning to report it to https://ico.org.uk/ like I do with all these annoying calls. Honestly, it seems the only way to try and put an end to them.

Lately, I've been getting lots of calls supposedly from BT, saying there's an issue with my internet security. I keep blocking the numbers, but they keep ringing me from new ones. It's really frustrating!

Someone called me, a lady saying she was from BT, telling me my internet was at risk. She said if I pressed one, it would connect me to a person who could sort it out for free. I just ended the call straight away.

It’s really starting to bug me. We keep getting a few calls daily from different numbers, all with this robotic American lady saying our internet’s been hacked or something.

These people have been nonstop calling today. They rang my nan who’s 85 and hasn’t got the internet or anything like that. She was totally baffled by it all. She ended up ringing 1572 to block them, but I bet they’re using a whole bunch of numbers so it’s likely we’ll get more calls from them down the line.

I got a call earlier claiming to be from my internet provider, but it was just an automated voice. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

I just let it ring out to the answer machine. It was some pre-recorded message, sounds like an autodial that kept straight on talking to my voicemail. Something about my internet being at risk and to press 1 to chat with a tech person. The accent was American but not quite right, like someone not native. Lately, I've had lots of calls like this from different numbers, but they’re all fake.

a call came through saying it's bt, apparently my internet ip was hacked by some overseas hackers or something, they said if i don't click their link my connection would be disconnected in 8 hours lol yeah right, total scam!

some woman named shirley rang me saying something about my internet being about to get cut off or something. i ended the call right away then i phoned 1572 and took advantage of bts’s free option to stop any more calls from that number.

I got a call from this number and it was some scammers wanting me to let them access my computer. I kept them on the line for quite a while before finally telling them off. Definitely don’t follow any of their instructions!

01535644165 - Keighley, England - 13:07 on 25/02/19. Unknown caller once again. I let the answering machine pick up to screen the call, expecting maybe a message prompt or some ID, but all I got was dead silence before they hung up. Seems like yet another fake caller ID just to dodge being traced. These spam calls have been relentless for ages now. When are the authorities going to step in and shut down these dodgy call centres? Really fed up!

Phone rang and they hung up straight away. Looks like another one of those supposed BT internet problem scams. Nowadays, I just ignore unknown numbers and check who’s calling before bothering to pick up.

Just like others have said before, this definitely seems like a spoofed IP address. I got a call the other day from a private number, and it was one of those American-sounding robot voices claiming to be from BT tech support. It warned that my internet would be cut off right away unless I pressed 1 to talk to an engineer or 2 to disconnect. I just ended the call and surprise surprise, my internet’s still working perfectly fine! Bit strange, innit?
