I just received a dodgy call from someone claiming to be from HMRC. They were going on about some alleged fraud and insisted that there’s an active investigation into my affairs. Whatever you do, don’t answer or engage with them! It's clearly a scam.

I received a voicemail stating that funds would be deducted from my bank account for an Amazon Prime subscription. I pressed one, and a woman with a distinctly Chinese accent picked up. When I informed her that I don’t have an Amazon Prime account, the call abruptly ended.

I received a call from a bloke purporting to be from BT, stating that my landline and internet were on the verge of being disconnected. He provided two options: hit 1 for one thing, or 2 for another. Quite the dodgy business!

Today, I've had a total of four calls to our landline from this number, claiming to be from TalkTalk. Each time, it's a recorded message threatening to terminate our phone and internet services. They even specify a different time for the disconnection with every call. It's quite alarming!

Claimed to be from BT, but it was clearly a dodgy attempt at a scam. I told him to hold on a moment while I booted up my computer, then simply put the phone down and carried on with my household tasks. He ended up waiting for close to five minutes before it dawned on him that I wasn’t returning.

01534954196. BT. Definitely not a call from the UK! I questioned the caller about their location, and they just went silent before abruptly ending the call. Sounds like a scam to me!

I received yet another bogus call from 01534954196, claiming to be from BT. When I pointed out that it was the fourth time they'd interrupted my day, asking what on earth they wanted, the chap on the other end—a bloke with an Indian accent—just shouted 'f##k you' before slamming the phone down. Quite the experience, I must say!

I never pick up my phone unless I know who's ringing. I always let it go to voicemail. And guess what? No one ever leaves a message! I sometimes wish I could track down where these calls are coming from and send in a drone strike for good measure!

A woman with an accent rang me up, claiming to be from BT, insisting that my router had been compromised and that it was the reason my internet was running sluggishly. I was rather sceptical about her claims, so I ended the call. Strangely enough, she decided to ring me again—twice, in fact!

It seems they've been swapping out various phone numbers, but I suspect it's the same bunch pretending to represent Talk Talk or BT. They've got these numbers mimicking UK area codes. Honestly, could it be BT, or perhaps Bangladesh Telecom? What a hoot! :)

My phone buzzed to life, and I let the answer machine take over, but there was no message left. The call abruptly cut off. If only I had the chance to send the caller a witty reply, perhaps something along the lines of "may you find a new hobby that keeps you busy every single day!"

This particular number has rung my phone twice already today, and both times they hung up as soon as my voicemail kicked in. If they were genuine, surely they would have left a message. I’m rather fed up with jumping to answer the phone every time a scammer tries to get through, so I’m truly grateful for the existence of answering machines!

Beware of a fraudulent BT operation originating from India. It's crucial that you refrain from sharing any personal details or installing unfamiliar software. The best course of action is to simply end the call and block the number immediately. Stay cautious!

Apparently, it was BT ringing me. The moment the foreign lady mentioned her affiliation, I couldn’t help but quip that I assumed she was about to announce the imminent termination of my internet. By the time I finished my remark, she had already disconnected. Quite the bother, as they seem to call me relentlessly!

I've had a similar run-in as many others here. This week, I've received multiple calls from this number – occasionally it’s a robot and other times it’s an actual human being on the line. A big shoutout to the individual who recommended asking for their EIN number – that's a brilliant reply to use!

I've had three calls from the number 01534954196 in the span of ten minutes! The first one was a robotic message, the second connected me to a person, and by the third, I was confronting yet another voice. I made it clear to the third caller that I'm not associated with BT and mentioned that I'd be contacting the police. His response? He told me to shove off. Quite charming, isn’t it?
