4 yearsThe firm the caller claimed to represent isn’t even on the official Companies House register - though a similarly named one is. Seems like a typical scam to me. They try to rope you in with promises of a brilliant investment product and huge returns, asking for something like £250 upfront. At best, it’s a classic Ponzi scheme; at worst, it’s outright fraud or theft. When I challenged the caller about not giving the proper company name, I told her she was breaking UK law. I thought she might say she’s exempt since the phone number came from Jersey, but instead she just threw back, “that just shows how little you know.” Their usual tactic is to pressure you to invest, and if you ask too many questions, they get rude until you cave and hand over your money to their fantasy deal. Never give them any personal info - they probably already have your details but don’t ask where from, and don’t hesitate to demand removal from their lists. If your info has been sold on, you could get loads of calls, which ironically makes spotting these scams a bit easier.Companies HouseUKJersey4 yearsThese lot are total scammers.Submit Your Own Report (01534 766832)
