Got a call from 02531829756 claiming to be Sky. They told me my box had some issues and that they’d sort it by sending me a new one for free. Then they asked for my bank details to 'fix' the problem. Seemed fishy to me.

got a call from someone claiming to be british gas, said they were replacing gas meters free of charge because there had been some issues reported by other customers. they scheduled an engineer visit for monday afternoon. then the caller asked if i was a pensioner and mentioned something about a 30 percent discount on gas and electricity bills, supposedly without switching suppliers. then they asked for my bank sort code and account number to update the direct debit details, which i refused to give. seemed pretty dodgy to me.
