I received a rather peculiar call today, supposedly from the refund department of Sky. The chap on the other end insisted he was representing them, which I found quite odd since I don't actually subscribe to any of Sky’s services. Odd that they'd reach out to me about broadband matters when I'm with a completely different provider!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Sky’s refund team saying I was paying too much on my Sky bill. Problem is, I’ve never even had Sky at all! Then the caller said I was owed a refund of £15 every month. When they asked for my birth date, I instantly knew it was a dodgy scam so I told them to stop and hung up. Blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Sky refunds saying I’d been overcharged on my account. Thing is, I’ve never even had Sky! Then they said I was owed £15 a month back or something. When they tried to get my date of birth, I just told them it’s a scam and hung up straight away. Blocked the number after that.
