I got a call from someone pretending to be Openreach, saying I needed to log onto my computer. Don’t fall for it! Just keep them chatting as long as you can to waste their time. It’s so annoying but a good way to mess with the scammers.

Someone rang me saying they were from BT Openreach and said they'd changed something at the exchange. It sounded nearly believable but they messed up a few technical things. When I mentioned I use a Linux PC instead of Windows, they just hung up. Seems like they were trying to get me to download malware that only works on Windows. Pretty sure it was a scam.

As soon as I picked up, they hung up, not sure if it was on purpose or if I just took too long. After seeing what others have said, I’m planning to block the number.

Openreach called me, saying I need to access my computer since there’s an issue with my router. They warned that if I don’t, my internet might get disconnected.
