Got a call from someone claiming to be BT saying that my broadband was being hacked. Total con artists, watch out for these dangerous scammers!

got a call from some bloke claiming to be from microsoft saying my computer had problems and he could fix it if i just turned it on. luckily i’m not one to be tricked by these scams so i hung up straight away and blocked the number through bt. but i reckon loads of people aren’t as clued up as me and probably get caught out by this kind of rubbish. seriously, something harsher needs to be done to put a stop to this nonsense.
