I rang but it was a complete waste; nothing but silence on the line. When I tried again, I just got an American voice saying to leave a message. How frustrating!

Really strange scam this one - they ring you, you pick up, and then they just stay silent for a few seconds while you keep saying hello, then they cut off. Feels like either a bot that isn’t really meant to hear you or someone on the other end not ready for a proper chat. My guess is they want you to dial them back and charge you some crazy fee for calling. I’ve blocked the number now to avoid any hassle.
