Got a dodgy phone call claiming to be from BT, threatening to disconnect my phone line. I played along and told them I charge £5 a minute for calls like theirs, just to waste their time. I also asked for their company name, address and the managing director’s details. Eventually, they passed me over to a “manager” who started trying to convince me to switch on my laptop. He kept promising I’d get my money back by the end of the day. After a few minutes of him getting more and more impatient, I just hung up. They now owe me about £20 lol!
