Just got a call from someone pretending to be from BT, asking if I’d had any issues with my internet and offering to test my connection speed. They insisted it didn’t matter which company I use, whether it’s Sky, Virgin Media or another big provider, and claimed the check works on any device like a laptop, tablet, iPad or mobile. I cut the call short straightaway.
