I received a troubling call asserting that I was under scrutiny for tax fraud and that unless I paid an astronomical sum of £463,792 within the next day, a warrant for my arrest would be issued. I informed the chap that I don’t even run a business, only to be met with accusations of dishonesty before the line abruptly went silent. An obvious scam, if ever I’ve encountered one!
