Somebody rang me pretending to be from BT, but when I rang BT themselves, they said they never make those random calls. Total scam. They told me if I didn't let them on my computer to fix some problem, my broadband would be cut off for weeks. They sounded proper convincing, even knew my serial numbers and everything. Claimed loads of people were using my internet and email, maybe hacking my accounts, which I knew wasn't right. I double-checked myself. Then they asked me to download this thing called OpenDesk.

Got a call from someone saying they were BT, but I rang BT myself and they said they don’t make unsolicited calls. Total scam. They threatened that if I didn’t give them access to my computer for "fixing" stuff, my broadband would be cut off for three weeks. They sounded really legit, even knew my serial numbers and all that. They claimed loads of people were using my internet and email and that my accounts might be hacked, but I checked and nothing was wrong. They wanted me to install some program called OpenDesk.
