There was this awkward pause that gave away it was probably a call centre, then a lady with a really strong foreign accent started talking, claiming to be from our internet company, BT. We quickly told her that she was wrong because BT isn’t the company we use, and then we just ended the call.

I didn’t answer as the number was unfamiliar. When I looked it up, it turned out to be from Redditch. Quite a few numbers starting with the same area code have been looked into, reported, and were all flagged as suspicious.
