4 yearsI had a rather unsettling phone call from this number at 8.50 this morning. A woman with an accent that seemed oriental claimed to be representing BT. She stated there was an issue with my internet connection related to something she referred to as IPS, and that action was required to prevent my internet service from being disconnected. Given that I’ve received numerous dodgy emails from supposed BT representatives in recent weeks making similar claims, I was instantly on my guard and voiced my concerns rather firmly. Despite her assurances that she was not trying to scam me, her tone grew increasingly frantic and insistent.
