So this number rang me earlier, first on my mobile but I ignored it. Then it rang my landline which is weird because how did they get both numbers? I answered but stayed quiet, not sure if it was some kind of voice-activated thing? Nobody said a word and then the call just cut off. Pretty odd.

This one’s a classic for me. I usually say, “Cheers for ringing, but can you hold on a moment?” Then I drop the phone, wait about 15 seconds, and come back with, “Please remain on the line, this call is very important and will be answered soon.” After that, I just set the phone down and wander off until they eventually hang up. It’s a right laugh!

I've been getting calls from this number pretty much daily, and my partner's had them too. It's some sort of ambulance chasing lot. They leave a voicemail but there's no sound on it at all. When I rang back, their message said something about having an accident. I didn't bother after that and just blocked the number.
