Got a call from 01527858843 and they left a voicemail. It was some automated message about a supposed £1000 money transfer - yeah, right, wishful thinking. They wanted me to press a button to talk to someone (no doubt a scammer). Oddly enough, they never asked if I wanted to cancel or reverse the transfer, which makes me suspicious. There’s nothing else reported about this number, but I’m flagging it as risky. Does anyone have any clue how these scams figure out if it’s my answerphone picking up instead of me?
