This bloke claimed to be from Scottish Power's debt team. I told him I was already sorting stuff with Step Change like they told me to, but he said no such firm existed and I had to pay right away or they'd chase me down, then just hung up. I'm now dealing with the energy ombudsman about all this. The number's now on my blocked list.

Keep getting calls from 01527419015 claiming it’s Scottish Power about some debt on a bill that’s not even due. I rang Scottish Power myself and they said they have no record of this address or that number, which apparently comes from Redditch. I’ve reported it to Scottish Power and plan to get in touch with Ofcom and the Information Commissioner’s Office. Pretty sure this is a scam, about 99.9%!

I've received about 33 calls from 0333 566 0232, some I missed others I answered. When I did pick up, a Scottish Power rep was trying to get me to arrange a direct debit for an outstanding balance, even though we already pay monthly by standing order. After that, calls and texts started coming from a 01527 number as well. We’ve chatted with them again and even bumped up our monthly payments to clear the debt quicker, but they keep ringing! It’s really frustrating since we’re definitely paying a fair bit each month, not like we're ignoring them or anything. The constant nagging is getting on my nerves!

I’ve been dealing with the very same problem mentioned here. Just yesterday at 8:08am, I received what was the eighth call from Scottish Power Cathcart, and I’m convinced it’s a scam. If you’re thinking of taking it up with the ombudsman, don’t get your hopes up. From my experience, I reckon they’re probably in bed with Scottish Power. My daughter had an issue where they appear to have overcharged her roughly £2000 over a couple of years. Trying to sort it out has been a complete waste of time.

They keep ringing me nonstop about a debt that I cleared ages ago.
Back on 13th March, I sent in my meter readings to Scottish Power, and the bill was dated 29th March.
I got a final reminder through the letterbox about money I supposedly owe on 13th March, then these lot began ringing me all day long, morning, afternoon, and night.

I got a missed call from this number and after seeing what folks have said here, I’m sticking with Scottish Power but it’s been nothing but headaches since I joined. I’ve already had to file a few complaints and if I have to do it again, I’m definitely taking things up with the Ombudsman. Got in touch with Scottish Power about this, turns out it’s a real number from one of their agencies. However, they’re a bit too pushy and call at inappropriate times, which feels quite harassing. I’ve already filed a complaint.

01527 419134 and 01527 419162 are numbers linked to a dodgy debt collection firm from Grosvenor House in Redditch. They use a sneaky tactic with an open phone line to try and get you to give away more details through misleading info. Definitely best to block these numbers.

For almost two weeks straight, this number has been ringing me up, sometimes starting as early as 8:17 in the morning. They usually call me about four times a day. Whenever I pick up, there’s nothing but silence on the other end. Total hassle - I’d say just block it or don’t bother answering!

I’ve ended up with two separate electricity accounts, one for the place I actually live and another one for some location in Wales I’ve never set foot in.
