Got a call from this number, a lady with an Indian accent who insisted I pay a Scottish Power bill straight away and threatened legal action if I didn’t. I told her I thought it was a scam and ended the call. I rang Scottish Power later and they said they never demand payment over the phone like that and it definitely sounds like a scam. The number’s listed as Redditch but they said they don’t even have a branch there. Very suspicious, and a quick search online showed these scammers are well reported. The same woman rang again this morning, so I just ignored it.

I've been receiving calls from this number incessantly throughout the day. I suspect it's something to do with my gas and electricity bill. The real issue is that Scottish Power won't swap out the smart meters left by my former provider, leaving me stuck as a prepayment customer on their end, despite being meant to pay via direct debit. It’s utterly frustrating how they’ve handled things! They instructed me to book an engineer to change the meters, only to inform me later that I'm not permitted to have prepayment meters installed. It really makes me question who's truly at fault here.

Today has been absolutely ridiculous - I've received no fewer than eight calls from these absolute numpties! It all kicked off after I lodged a complaint about my billing with Scottish Power on Monday. They promised to give me a ring to resolve the issue. So, picture this: I picked up the phone this morning, and who do I find on the other end but some bloke named Jude, wanting to take my info for a new tariff. To be honest, I could barely make out what he was saying, and the number he's calling from seems to be based in Redditch, which is rather peculiar, as Scottish Power doesn’t have a branch there at all!

Got a call on my phone from this number saying they were with Scottish Power. I asked them where they were calling from, and they said Johannesburg, South Africa. The woman was demanding I pay my last bill, so I asked for the address related to the bill - she couldn’t provide any details. Felt really fishy since none of my rental places have Scottish Power, and all the meters are pay-as-you-go anyway! I told her to buzz off and ended the call.

I think it's only fair that Scottish Power is allowed to keep operating. I've submitted my final meter reading on three separate occasions, yet they still seem utterly baffled by their own processes. Each time, my readings appear to vanish into thin air! They did manage to find one of my submissions eventually and even sent an apology my way. This number has been calling me incessantly, so I decided to pick up the phone last night. I had a conversation with a woman who claimed to be calling from South Africa on behalf of Scottish Power. Given that I currently have an ongoing complaint with the ombudsman concerning this company, I wasn’t keen on revealing any personal information. After all, she initiated the call, so surely she ought to know who I am! I find it quite absurd that I’m expected to confirm my identity. I'm currently expecting a return call from Scottish Power's dedicated Ombudsman Team; but quite frankly, I'm not holding my hopes too high. In the meantime, I've gone ahead and blocked this number.

Absolutely shocking experience with this firm, they're claiming I owe two separate bills for a place I haven't called home in over a decade. Got a call from someone saying they were from Scottish Power. Foolishly, I answered their security questions like my address and birthdate since I'm actually switching providers. I've received several calls from this number, and it’s becoming a bit tiresome. Back on 18th October 2015, I vacated a property I used to share with my husband, and recently Scottish Power contacted me, claiming I owe them £283.00. They had my move-out date incorrectly noted as April 2016. However, after speaking with their tenancy department, they corrected the date and assured me not to fret over it. Consequently, I won’t be picking up any of their calls going forward. Is there any authority I could report this to? Just to clarify, the property had a prepayment meter, so there shouldn’t even be any outstanding debt.

this company is honestly the worst ive ever had to deal with, ive been lied to countless times which is just ridiculous. i still cant figure out how they ended up being my energy provider but they started hassling me for payments without even having meter readings. as soon as i told them i wanted no part of their service, they started all sorts of tricks to keep my account open. they rang me pretty much every day at all times from this number. seriously hope i never have to go through this again with them.

Got a call at 8:15am on Christmas Eve, woke me and my partner right up. The caller claimed to be from Scottish Power, saying I needed to settle a final bill I’d only just got within the last day! He asked for security info and kept trying to turn his ‘recording’ on and off, which made me think it might be a scam, so I politely said sorry and ended the call. The whole situation around unit pricing and top-ups can be a bit of a nightmare, to say the least. If your last bill happens to be estimated, you’re on the hook to provide a reading from your meter; if you don’t, well, the outstanding amount becomes your problem. A bit cheeky if you think about it, but I can see their reasoning.
