I received a rather intrusive phone call earlier regarding a supposed outstanding energy payment that had already been settled ages ago. In a moment of weakness, I ended up revealing my first line of address and postcode, but thankfully I didn't divulge my email address. I'm absolutely fuming with myself for falling into that trap!

Somebody said they were from Extra Energy and asked for my security info. I said no way and asked how I was supposed to trust them since EE folded like 9 months back. They just snapped, "I told you who I am, why would I lie? You muppet!" Such a cheeky idiot!

Extraenergy keeps ringing me up claiming I owe them money. Loads of calls from this number are just about 90 seconds of silence before they hang up. They even sent a debt collector, who ended up sending it back since he saw my account was cleared when I left them last September. Whenever I speak to them, they always say they'll make a note of what I say, but nothing changes.

I’ve gotten 3 letters, around 5 calls from 01527 415073, plus a couple of texts claiming I owe money. I’ve never owed anything, but today’s letter says it’s a final demand for £1200. No way this is legit. The amount of pestering is crazy, and it’s scary how convincing it looks. I bet loads of people are getting caught out by this :/

Keeps ringing me from Extra Energy every single day. I had an account with them like over two years ago but it was a mess from the start. Got everything sorted out and left them ages ago. Dunno why they’re suddenly bothering me now. Never received any letters or anything, which I find a bit dodgy. Think I’ll try reaching out to PwC like someone mentioned earlier.

I got a call from ExtraEnergy trying to rip me off for £70. When I asked what the charge was about, they said it was for a gas bill. Thing is, I actually have a gas meter, so that made no sense. Really rubbish company, no wonder they're going under!

Just like others have said, Extra Energy keeps ringing me up saying I owe money. I had an argument with them before they went bust and spoke to the ombudsman, who told me to reach out to KPMG myself. Best to just block their number. Their phone lines are always glitching and most of the time, the call just drops suddenly. Proper nightmare!

Extra Energy isn't a real company. I suggest you find their phone number and address, then report them on the UK GDPR site. Never share your details with them. They used to call me every week until I just blocked their number.

I’ve also been getting calls from Extra Energy on this phone number. I actually left them back in August 2015!! They keep saying I owe them about £400 from that time. Funny thing is, I actually took them to court in January 2016 because they owed me £972 on my account - and I won the case. Lately, I’ve got letters and texts from them again, so I’ve called them up and now just waiting to see what they do next.

Extra Energy are at it again with the same nonsense everyone else is talking about. They say I owe them cash but can’t show any proof. I’ve also put in a formal complaint with the ombudsman. I switched suppliers a good two years before they went bust, and already got my final statement. Now they’re saying I owe over £600. I’m not paying a penny. If they send anything legit, it’ll come through PWC. For now, I’m just gonna block their number.

They’re trying to extract £80 from me, which feels completely dodgy. Got a call from a bloke with an accent, said he was from extraenergy. I used to be with them but switched suppliers about a year ago, and they sorted any outstanding payments way before extraenergy went bust. I asked if he was from PWC, the administrators, but he had no clue - probably just some muppet reading from a script, ringing everyone who used to be a customer, trying to squeeze money out of them. Never trust or share your details with cold callers, no matter who they claim to be.

A woman called saying her name was Kalin and claimed she worked for PWC, who manage accounts for Extra Energy, asking for a big payment for our business energy bill. But like others have said before, we stopped using Extra Energy and switched suppliers well before they collapsed. We do not owe them anything! She also said she couldn’t show any proof because their system wasn’t working. Be CAREFUL! Extra Energy even attempted to take money through our old direct debit, luckily my bank was very understanding and stopped it.

I've been receiving persistent nuisance calls, typically two to three times weekly. The first time I answered, they claimed to be from Extra Energy regarding an unpaid bill. The problem is, I've never been a customer of theirs. Needless to say, I've now blocked the number!

I've already figured out who's been trying to reach me, but I've decided not to engage with them any longer. They keep insisting that I owe them £95 from a previous account. The thing is, I settled that debt in its entirety when I switched providers last October. Now, I’m just letting their calls go straight to voicemail, yet they persistently bombard me with daily calls and have sent me five texts so far, which I can’t seem to respond to. Such a nuisance!

They say they’re from Extra Energy, which went under and Scottish Power took over after. We’ve had three calls from them already. We used to be with Extra Energy, but we switched before they collapsed. Now they’re trying to get money off us without any paperwork, saying their online system isn’t working. BE WARNED, they expect you to pay over the phone straight away. We called Ofgem, who said it sounds dodgy and told us to report it to Action Fraud. This number is linked to another annoying one, 0800 3685452.

What a waste of effort. Got chased for a bill close to £2000 that I never agreed to pay because it was ridiculous. I’d moved out and they wouldn’t even bother to read the meter. THEN THEY CLEARED THE CASH FROM MY ACCOUNT TEN DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS BECAUSE I HAD A DIRECT DEBIT ON. Absolutely terrible company with awful service. Proper thieves. I’m still not paying them.

Phone went to answerphone and all I could hear was background noise and someone breathing. This rubbish company Extra Energy, which went bust ages ago, is still hassling me about a debt from more than 3 years back. Extra Energy gave me the same hassle - no bill came through, then out of nowhere they wanted payment for a final bill that didn’t even exist, 10 months after I’d already moved to a new supplier! They passed it on to their lawyers to chase, but I still said no since I’d never got any bill in the year I was with them, even though I’d asked for them and paid monthly by DD. The solicitors took it to court, I put in my defence, and the court asked them to prove the bills and provide dates. After that, their solicitor simply pulled the claim!

Totally with the person above. This energy company is the absolute worst. They overcharge loads, hesitate big time to give any refunds. Had a call from someone called Westcotts, I think they were acting for the company, then got a silent call from this number. They slapped on an exit fee even though my fixed term was over, I clearly said I wasn’t staying, but they still charged me another exit fee. All after the contract had finished. They really owe me cash. Switched to Octopus now, and honestly, they’re miles better!

I ended my contract with them straight away (definitely inside the 14-day cooling off time) and this is about something from December 2014! They haven’t even sent me a proper bill. They even threatened to take me to court! Luckily, I’ve got all the evidence to back me up. I’ve reported the whole thing to the Ombudsman Services for Energy.
