I've been getting loads of texts that all sound exactly the same and they seem pretty dodgy. Looks like they’re trying to get me to cover fines that aren't even mine. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

Spotted this person trying to cover up by posting some fake "neutral" message claiming to be an enforcement officer from Bristow & Sutor. The message went something like, " ... Better to pick up straight away, no need to panic .." - clearly a joke. Watch out because these scammers are attempting to pay fines on behalf of others! B&S and TFL really ought to crack down so this kind of scam doesn’t spread so easily! I got loads of texts with similar threats and flagged them straight away as scam!

This was a total scam, they were just after cash. I’ve blocked the number and reported it as fraud straight away.

Got a call and voicemail about some tickets supposedly from Transport For London. Thing is, I haven't driven into London for years. They’re now saying they might come to my house to take stuff away and tack on another £235 to the £1005 fine. I’m definitely going to call TfL because I’ve never heard a thing from them about any ticket before.

Keep getting annoying calls and texts saying I’ve got some kind of urgent TfL ULEZ penalty. They even threatened to come and take my stuff! I’ve never actually received any real penalty notice though. When I asked them for more info, they never gave me proper details. The little info they did share didn’t match my car or address, so I have no clue how they even got my phone number. I double-checked with TfL about all my vehicles, and they said there’s nothing flagged against me. Honestly, watch out for these dodgy calls!

I've been getting loads of texts from this so-called debt company. Just got another one today that says: (NKE-T 16236) Starting tomorrow, they might come round to take stuff from your home. They reckon I've had enough time to pay up but now they're gonna force it. PAY ASAP. www[.]bristowsutor[.]co[.]uk/pay ref 1385****188 amount due £3417.70 or ring Simon at 01527 372809. About council tax owed. Watch out for these dodgy messages!!!

Right after I hung up on that ring, a text popped up (LIV-T 25271) saying they might show up at my place from tomorrow to take stuff. They claimed I’ve had enough chances to sort it, but they’re going ahead with collecting the debt. The message told me to pay £5655.61 now at www.bristowsutor.co.uk/pay with ref 3193-xxxxxxxx or call Simon on 01527372809 about some overdue Council Tax. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

This morning I got a call from 01527372809. When I asked who they were, the caller claimed to be from Manchester City Council and mentioned someone's name. That person wasn’t around though, and the caller said they'd ring back. They never did, so we tried phoning them instead but no one picked up. Seems like a scam to me.

I didn’t pick up but got a voicemail from someone claiming to be “Simon” from Bristow and Sutor about some overdue council tax. That’s rubbish though, I pay mine monthly by direct debit. I rang my local council to double check and they said there’s nothing unpaid and no enforcement action. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now. Best to not bother answering calls like this and always verify with your council first!

I got a call from this number saying they were from a debt collection company and that I owed some urgent fees. The whole thing felt a bit off and they were pretty pushy about getting an answer. It’s best to double check with the actual company before giving out any info, just to be safe.

I got a call from Bristow & Sutor enforcement agent. It’s best to pick up straight away but if you don’t, just ring them back when you can. The bloke's actually pretty reasonable compared to other agents. If you can promise to pay on the soonest date possible, he’ll give you a chance to sort things out without being too harsh.
